Terms and conditions

For every successful referral, SWICA will reward you with a voucher worth up to 100 francs*. To claim this reward, the following conditions must be met:

• The "Recommend SWICA" referral programme is open to natural persons aged 18 and over who are resident in Switzerland, in Germany or in Liechtenstein (corporate clients and legal entities are excluded).
• *SWICA will grant you a referral reward worth 100 francs if the new customer you've referred takes out basic insurance and at least one supplementary insurance plan with SWICA (including passing the health check as required). If you successfully refer a cross-border commuter (who takes out STANDARD EU insurance), you'll be rewarded with a voucher worth 70 francs. The start of the insurance can also be in the future.
• Please remember that your friends must use your personal referral link so that it is clear that you referred them.
• There can only be one referring person for each referral. If several people attempt to make the same referral, the reward goes to the individual whose link was first used by the person referred. 
• The referred person must conclude a contract within two months of the date on which he or she was first contacted to arrange a consultation under the referral programme.
• The reward is paid in the form of a digital voucher code that can be used in many shops, including Zalando, IKEA and Media Markt, by visiting voucher.swica.ch. The code is provided exclusively via email and is valid for a year. No further correspondence will be entered into.

The referral reward will not be granted in the following cases:

• The referred person is not resident in Switzerland, in Germany or Liechtenstein.
• The referred person already is already an active SWICA customer.
• The referred person is referring him or herself and/or someone who lives in the same household (e.g. spouse, child, etc.).
• Newborn babies who are signed up by their parents as well as prenatal registrations.
• No referral rewards are paid out to SWICA sales employees or SWICA employees with a distribution partner number or their family members.
• Brokers or intermediaries (or their employees or family members) who operate in Switzerland, or individuals (and their employees or family members) who engage in commercial brokerage activities under German or Liechtenstein law.
• The contract has already been purchased and the recommendation is submitted afterwards.
• Supplementary insurance cover is declined for the referred person so that the condition of basic insurance plus one supplementary insurance plan is not met.
• No referral rewards are paid out for mutual referrals (e.g. the referring person is also being referred by the person he or she is referring).

SWICA does not owe any social security contributions. Accounting for the various types of social security (particularly with the compensation fund and mandatory accident insurance) is solely the responsibility of the referring person. SWICA accepts no liability for any unpaid or incorrectly paid social security or tax obligations of the referring person.

For technical reasons, SWICA cannot enter into any correspondence regarding the referral. SWICA's decision is final. The referral reward includes VAT.

Data protection

Your data will exclusively be used to process the referral reward. You can revoke the declaration of consent at any time without having to provide a reason by visiting www.swica.ch/data-use. Data is stored only for as long as is necessary for the stated purpose or is permitted or required by law. The data will be deleted in accordance with data protection regulations once the processing purpose no longer applies or the retention period has expired. During this time, SWICA will take all technical and organisational measures to protect the data against unlawful and improper processing.
