HOSPITA FLEX
A HOSPITA FLEX SEMI-PRIVATE or a HOSPITA FLEX PRIVATE plan gives you access to all public and private hospitals in Switzerland. You decide before each hospital stay whether you want the general, semi-private or private ward. No co-payments apply when you choose the general ward. If you prefer to get treatment in a semi-private or a private ward, a co-payment plan that was agreed in advance comes into effect.

Insured persons who opt for the alternative FAVORIT SANTE basic insurance model save 15% on hospitalisation insurance premiums (based on the individual insurance premium). SWICA offers a 0.5 percent discount if you pay your premiums annually. This discount applies to any basic or supplementary insurance plans that you have taken out with SWICA. You can adjust the frequency of your payments in the mySWICA customer portal, or call us on +41 58 800 99 33.

Transparent and favourable co-payments

SWICA is the only health insurer that applies co-payments from basic insurance to those of its supplementary insurance, which means the annual co-payments will be much lower when compared to other health insurers.

The premiums that most health insurers charge for supplementary insurance increase noticeably every five years. This often results in a heavy financial burden in old age.
